Today’s Route

Today’s Route predicts whether a sidewalk route is passable today, for your mobility device, using public city data rather than crowdsourced reports.

What it does

  • Scores each stretch of sidewalk for the device you choose, from manual and power wheelchairs to mobility scooters, walkers and canes, because the same kerb that stops one can be only awkward for another
  • Reads open City of Austin 311 obstruction reports, permitted closures, weather alerts and OpenStreetMap sidewalk data
  • Routes around what is likely to block you, and tells you plainly when every option crosses a barrier
  • Shows where every warning came from and how likely it is to still be there
  • No crowdsourcing and no account — the app never asks you to report anything. Launching in Austin
